How to find your perfect match
How are you today? The weather is quite chilly and I am hoping that you have a perfect match to set up the fire and warm up your heart and soul. (I know I’m being silly 😉
But really, I feel so blessed to have my partner to go through this possibly coldest winter with; and I hope you do too.
But if you are still looking and wonder if he/she is “the perfect match”, I am more than happy to share my expert point of view with you.
Being in a relationship takes two people’s commitment and it’s not easy. There are many things that need to be considered when you want to move on to the next level.
Here are some signs that you might actually found the one:
1. You feel incredibly comfortable together
2. You are supportive to each other
3. You face the challenges together
4. You have the same values and goals
You may come from different cultures or have different preferences, but it’s critical that both of you agree on what matters most in life. For example, if you want to have children, but they don’t want to unless you both agreed on it at some point, that relationship is bound to end.
5. You respect each other’s opinions and compromise
Your perfect match will also be open to compromise and negotiate so you can reach mutual decisions. If your partner insists on making all of the decisions without thinking about you, they aren’t the one for you.
6. You want them to be happy
7. You complement each other.
The tidy person will learn to be less perfectionist, and the messy one will learn to be more disciplined and punctual. This is what they mean by “opposites attraction”.
8. They add value to your life and makes you feel good about yourself
Instead, you’re on the right track if you feel like you can be yourself in your relationship. Remember that you are already enough by yourself; your partner should only be there to add extra value and not completely all over you.
Being with your perfect match will enhance your life. Even just by making you smile. Of course, not every day will be sunshine and rainbows, but if they bring value to your life as a whole, you’re on the right track.
To find and be with your perfect match, first you need to let your guard down. Recognize that neither you nor others are flawless. You can, however, become your own perfect pair if you work together. If you think that you have found your perfect match, do not hesitate to really fight for it.
Yours in love and happiness,
